We’re a Somerset removals company with a simple idea behind everything: a move should be capable and clear — a proper quote, a crew who know their job, and a day that runs to a plan.
Most people we meet have a moving story that went sideways — a vague phone estimate, a van too small by half, a crew who ran out of steam before the job was done. We built Somerset Removals to be the opposite of that. Modern where it helps — clear quotes, easy contact, a plan you can follow — and old-fashioned where it counts, about looking after your things.
A county we actually know
Somerset is our whole world of work, and it’s a varied one — the county town at Taunton, the working west around Bridgwater and the Levels, the market towns of the south around Yeovil, and the cathedral-city east at Wells and Frome. We know which lanes a full lorry can’t take, which drives turn soft after rain, and where a shuttle van saves the day. That knowledge isn’t a slogan — it’s the difference between a move that runs and one that stalls in a gateway.
What we do
We handle house moves of every size, from a town flat to a farmhouse, and office moves for businesses around Taunton, Bridgwater and Yeovil. We pack as much or as little as you want, and removals and storage together is one of the things we’re asked for most. Alongside the county work we run a European arm — road moves from Somerset to France, Italy, Spain and Portugal, with the customs paperwork handled.
How we work
One capable team, start to finish. The person who surveys your move is part of the crew who plans it, so nothing gets lost between the quote and the day. We turn up when we say, protect your home as we go, and treat your things the way we’d want ours treated. If something changes — and on moving day it sometimes does — we tell you straight and sort it.
Straight about what we are
We’re a removals firm, plainly. We carry goods-in-transit and public liability cover as standard, and we’ll explain what it means before you book rather than after something goes wrong. We won’t quote you a price on a web page, because no two moves are the same; what we’ll do is look at your actual move and give you a clear, written quote you can trust.
